Samsara will be a sanctuary away from the tourism crowds…even as Tulum grows and grows in popularity.
And it will stay that way.
Samsara is fronted by a national park where development is forbidden. This means the views from the rooftop pool should never be compromised.
The community is down a road hemmed in by wild jungle that dead ends—so only residents have reason to be down this way. It’s a place apart from the rest of bustling Tulum, it will be secluded…a private enclave surrounded by nature.
Nearby, you have 26 miles of white sand Caribbean beach to explore, stretching all the way from your beach club close to the iconic Mayan ruins down into the 1,000-square-mile Sian Ka’an Biosphere.
Samsara is a RareEarth community. It’s a brand that is synonymous with creating the highest level, most luxurious communities.
Tulum is facing a critical rental crisis as revenge travel, work-from-anywhere, and the Path of Progress all meet on its white sands. There’s a lack of developable land in the right locations too. That’s a big opportunity for buyers in Samsara.
Getting to Samsara
Flights for Playa del Carmen land at Cancún International Airport. It’s an easy flight from North America. Flights from Miami take just under 2 hours, from New York it takes 4 hours 15 minutes. Los Angeles to Cancun is 4 hours 45 minutes.
Cancun International Airport welcomes direct flights from Miami, Denver, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas, Seattle, Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Nashville, Milwaukee… as well as Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal…
Then also Buenos Aires, Bogota, Lima, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Panama City…Paris, Madrid, London…
The number of active airlines varies over time. But from 50 to 70 airlines operate from Cancún airport, with around 130 total destinations (about 100 internationals, mostly from the U.S. and Canada).
Once you’ve landed, Tulum is only one hour and 45 minutes from the airport.
Amenities at Samsara
The building’s rooftop terrace will be an incredible highlight, with elevators ready to whisk you up. This rooftop terrace is expansive—the best in Tulum I’ve seen. Plans call for:
- Circular sitting areas, each with a firepit in the middle. This is something you don’t see elsewhere in Tulum and great for hanging out with friends…
- A yoga/meditation deck. Imagine the breeze rustling through the trees, the view over the jungle canopy…that’ll put you in the right frame of mind…
- A bar area where you can set up all the fixings for margaritas at sunset…even lay out some appetizers…
- A barbecue area—great for parties and get-togethers…
- Plenty of loungers and places to just sit back in relax in the warm sun…
- And the centerpiece infinity pool, where you can swim under the clear blue sky (or the stars) …and look out over the treetops…
This rooftop retreat will be spacious and won’t feel crowded. When drawing up plans for this area, the developer could have cut costs and increased profits by putting a penthouse condo or two up here. Instead, they decided to use the entire rooftop and make all these amenities accessible to everyone in this community.
It’s just one way the developers are committed to making our opportunity truly special…
If you’re looking down over the expansive pool and garden area, much of which is the original jungle, you’ll see the shimmering turquoise of the two large pools, which are made of traditional Maya stone.
The palapa on ground level, between the two pools, will be the cool, shady place to hang out and enjoy a bite to eat and relax with friends and family.
You could find peace in the Zen Garden with its quiet sitting areas…or take an afternoon nap or read a book in one of the hammocks. You could work out in the gym. The co-working space is available too when you—or your renters—need to get some work done.

Enjoy the world-class Caribbean beaches close to Tulum
Samsara condos are also convenient to everything booming Tulum has to offer…
Perhaps it’s off to Thai dinner at dusk at Mezzanine on the beach—the cashew shrimp is to die for and so is the Caribbean view. Or you might get $1 tacos at your favorite place in town. There are dozens of incredible seafood places with great ceviche or tuna tostadas…and there’s always Italian wood-fire pizza.
While you’re out, you could do a bit of shopping for artisan crafts…a gift for the folks back home or perhaps a bit of décor for your condo.
Samsara is the best of Tulum, the hottest beach destination on Mexico’s Caribbean coast…if not all the Caribbean.
Owning here gives you a lifestyle most people can only dream about. One that millions of people are seeking to rent for a few weeks, a few months…
The Developer
Grupo R4, the developers behind Samsara, are responsible for the most landmark major development in Tulum: the master-planned community Aldea Zama.
Aldea Zama is just across the main road from Samsara and features several developers creating residential communities, as well as commercial areas. It’s one of the most popular neighborhoods in town.
This project set a standard for controlled development in Tulum. Grupo R4 anticipated Tulum’s growth with this master-planned community.
With Selva Zama, just to the south of Aldea Zama, this developer is set to change the game again, but this time even more significantly than they did with Aldea Zama.
They along with other top developers and hotel chains are bringing Tulum to the next level. You can think of it as Tulum 2.0…and Samsara will be part of it.
What they have in mind for this new master-planned community covering 200 hectares is like nothing else seen in Tulum. High-end, super-exclusive, with an art park, top super-luxury hotel brands with rooms going for $1,000 a night, as well as residential sections where lots, homes, and condos will go a half-million dollars and up.
There will be a shopping area catering to the affluent crowd. Even a school from Bali that has set a new standard for education and costs $10,000+ a year to attend. 60% of the master-planned community in Selva Zama will remain a green area.
And Selva Zama is set to be just across the way, and easily accessible, from Samsara. Owners will be practically neighbors (although Selva Zama will be much more expensive). Just another indicator of the exclusive, high-end feel Samsara will have.
Grupo R4 are heavy hitters when it comes to development in Mexico, a group of companies that is more than capable of getting the most ambitious projects done because they cover all the bases in top-notch fashion: architectural design, luxury residential development, quality construction, mixed-use development, civil engineering, landscape design, and more…
In Samsara, they are bringing their more than 30 years of experience to bear. They’re not interested in creating a cookie-cutter condo building…but a real community with only the best amenities.
Samsara is also a RareEarth community, the first of its kind in Mexico. RareEarth is a brand known for high-quality, luxury communities where people want to live and vacation…a name that means an unparalleled lifestyle experience.
