Punta Laguna is in the super-exclusive, green, lush and expansive master-planned golf community of Corasol.
It’s true Caribbean beachfront, and the beach is the best in the area.
Punta Laguna in Corasol, is on the doorstep of one of the world’s great vacation cities, Playa Del Carmen. It’s easy to get to, attracting millions of visitors (potential renters.) A city growing at breakneck speed.
So, you are close to everything Playa and the Riviera Maya offers.
Corasol Is A Super Exclusive Golf Community
Golf communities come in two varieties…
First is pile ‘em high and sell real estate at a relatively modest price. Take some of the older courses around Spain’s Costa del Sol as an example, or in Florida. I’m sure you know the type…the only green bit you see is the strip of fairway between buildings.
That’s not Corasol…not at all.
The other variety of golf community is the exclusive, super high-price point one. Typically anchored by a major brand hotel they develop homes around the course that list from $5 million to $15 million and up. Condos often start at a million bucks or so.
These golf resorts will be relatively low density, spacious and lush.
This is what you get at Corasol. It’s why people pay millions to be in Corasol. That includes many of the owners in the surrounding neighborhoods. But not owners at Punta Laguna (click here for availability and pricing)…
Flights To Punta Laguna
Getting to Punta Laguna couldn’t be easier.
Nearby Cancún airport has direct flights from 123 cities in 27 countries. The airport is just 35-40 minutes from Corasol.
Flights from New York take just under 4 hours. Flights from Los Angeles just over 5 hours. Miami is just one hour and 50 minutes away.
There are direct flights from across Europe too. Cancún is a global tourist destination.
From Cancún, Punta Laguna is a XX-minute drive. A straight shoot down a modern highway.
Benefits Of Being An Owner At Punta Laguna
The developer is intent on creating a true luxury lifestyle experience in Corasol where your every need and want is taken care of…where you never have to leave its borders to have an outstanding vacation.
With the resort-style service, beautiful, lush surroundings, and stellar amenities to be found in Punta Laguna, and the rest of Corasol, not to mention that secluded white-sand beach that the developer plans to fully kit out, owners will enjoy the resort experience.
And owners in Punta Laguna have further benefits…
Firstly, there’s the golf.
Punta Laguna is just beside the first hole of the 18-hole Nick Price golf course. The golf club house and driving range are just a stroll away from the front lobby.
If you’re not a member of the club, you can still pay the greens fees to play a round when you want. As an owner in Punta Laguna, you’ll pay the same rate as a club member’s guest.
If you want to join the golf club, you must pay an initial fee and monthly payment.
Then there is the members-only Costa Beach Club, which we can be joined for an initial membership fee and monthly payment.
It will be at the base of the Costa Residences, the developer’s beachfront condo community, where condos go for $1.5 million and up.
Construction on the condos is already well advanced. And the first phase of the beach club is already complete, with a pool, poolside bar, and plenty of seating, lounging areas, hammocks, and tables and chairs, and more for a day at the beach. Plus, firepits for night-time outings.
Plans in the beach club call for several club members-only pools, and high-end restaurants offering up sushi, Italian, and Mexican cuisines, as well as an ice cream parlor and stores. There’s also a spa for massage and beauty treatments
Even though Costa Beach Club will be amazing, membership is not something you need to enjoy life in Punta Laguna and Corasol at large.
The secluded beach will have free access to its own loungers, hammocks, chairs, and umbrellas, along with bathrooms, and changing rooms. And it’s actually adjacent to the members-only beach club.
Finally, there’s Corasol’s Park, available with the paid membership.
Over its nearly two acres, the developer plans to put in two paddle tennis courts, one tennis court, three pickleball courts, a basketball half-court, food court, and large open area for other games.
There will also be a large organic garden and orchard near the golf course club house, which requires paid membership to access.
It’s not just for show. The goal is to provide produce for Corasol restaurants, including crops like lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, fresh herbs and the like. But then, as with everything in this community, the developer plans to add an extra special touch.
One of the primary goals of the garden is to preserve fruits and vegetables native to the jungle using ancient Maya growing techniques. This will be a real working garden and educational site wrapped in one, with sitting areas in the shade where you can enjoy the vibe.
Remember that your club membership, available for an initial fee (which I must warn you is not insignificant) and monthly payments, will give you complete access to the golf course, beach club, and park.
But if you choose not to join the club, there is still more than enough to do in Punta Laguna and Corasol. The list of amenities is staggering.
Playa Del Carmen
Playa del Carmen is among the fastest-growing cities in the world but in the 1980’s there was almost nothing there.
The streets were still sand. Pigs and roosters roamed. Downtown was rustic and sleepy. Hippies and backpackers visited to enjoy the beach or catch a ferry to Cozumel Island.
Today you’ll find people on the beach during the day, swimming and sunbathing…in the shops and cafés at lunch…strolling along Fifth Avenue in the evening, heading out to dinner or a bar.
There’s a ferry terminal at one end of Fifth Avenue that crosses to the island of Cozumel (on a clear day you can see Cozumel from the beach at Corasol). The first stores and eateries opened around here. As Playa boomed, more businesses opened along Fifth.
Twenty years ago, development had reached Calle 20. And, in the last five years, it’s gathered speed, and is now past Calle 40. That’s 20 blocks of development in just five years!
It’s sweeping fast toward the gates of Corasol. When exactly it will arrive is hard to say, but the trajectory is clear.
