Hi Cabo Costa Owner,
Viviana Diaz here, Chief Real Estate Advisor with Smart Money Homes.
I’m writing with the latest update about your Cabo Costa condo.
Great news! The Cabo Costa community has started delivering condos. The clubhouse is finished, and the stunning infinity pool, with sweeping ocean views, is being filled.
Deliveries for RETA members have already started in buildings Balandra, Arena and Cabo. In August deliveries will start for the buildings Brisa and Estela.
In other news from Cabo, the real estate market continues to look strong, and Cabo restaurants have proved to be a big hit with the judges of the prestigious Michelin Guide.
More on that later…

Construction Update from Cabo Costa
Work throughout Cabo Costa is approaching completion. The buildings Balandra, Arena and Cabo are already finished.
Deliveries will begin for the buildings Brisa and Estela from August 10.
The remaining buildings (Duna, Oasis, Palmar, Brisa, Coral, Costa and Marea) are on schedule and deliveries should take place between August and December.
Regarding the community amenities, work has been completed on the clubhouse and the infinity pool is being filled with water. The access road used for entry to Cabo Costa is also complete. The access to Cabo Costa is off a quiet road, and the entire area feels private and very exclusive.
The Real Estate Market in Cabo Remains Strong
RETA members like you had the chance to buy a two-bed condo with ocean views in Cabo Costa from just $188,200.
That price looks more amazing with every month that passes. You just can’t find deals like that in Cabo anymore.
My team found this condo in the nearby community of Tramonti. It’s similar, but not a like for like comparison. The Tramonti condo is a little bigger than yours in Cabo Costa. It’s listed for $420,000.
Cabo’s Rental Sector Continues to Thrive
Your condo in Cabo Costa will have incredible appeal for renters. It’s in an idyllic location, where El Tezal mountain slopes toward the ocean. The views will be outstanding. From the infinity pool you can enjoy views of the Pacific or watch the desert bloom in late fall.
The amenities are top-class. As well as the large ocean-view infinity pool, there’s a wet bar, a gym, a solarium, massage rooms and a co-working space.
As an owner in Cabo Costa, you will have the choice of renting short-term, long-term or some combination of the two.
Perhaps you will rent short-term during the high season to maximize returns and rent long-term the rest of the year for convenience.
My team found a two-bedroom condo in the nearby community of Solaria, which is listed for long-term rent at $2,300 per month. It’s not like-for-like but shows you where the market is for high-end condos in El Tezal.
Cabo Restaurants Featured in the Michelin Guide for Mexico
Owners in Cabo Costa will be close to some of the best restaurants in Mexico.
That’s according to the Michelin Guide who recognized 13 Cabo restaurants in their inaugural Michelin Guide for Mexico.
Cocina de Autor, located in the Grand Velas hotel, was awarded the prestigious Michelin star. In its review, the Michelin guide described the tasting menu at Cocina de Autor as “…Mexican at its heart, with global elements and inspirations woven throughout.”
The kitchen runs under the guidance of chef Sidney Schutte, who has 2 Michelin Stars and experience in kitchens across Europe and Asia.
A Bib Gourmand, awarded to restaurants serving good food at moderate prices, went to Flora’s Field Kitchen and Metate.
Flora’s Field Kitchen is a family-run restaurant which sells organic vegetables grown on site. The farm raises their own chickens and has an onsite butcher. Flora’s Field Kitchen was also awarded a Green Star for gastronomy and sustainability.
Metate, which is hidden down a dirt road, serves authentic Mexican cuisine and was praised for its excellent fish tacos.
The Michelin Guide also recommended the following Cabo restaurants.
- Arbol (Las Ventanas Al Paraiso)
- Carbón Cabrón
- Comal (Chileno Bay Resort & Residences)
- Los Tres Gallos
- Lumbre
- Manta (The Cape, A Thompson Hotel)
- Nao
- Omakai
- Ruba’s Bakery

Rosewood to Launch Exclusive Residences in Cabo
Demand for luxury accommodation in Cabo is showing no sign of slowing down.
Luxury hotel and resort company Rosewood will launch its first standalone branded residential community in Mexico later this year. They’ve announced the launch of the Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse development in Cabo.
The private estate is being developed in partnership with the Coppel family—founders of Pueblo Bonito, one of the top hotel and resort companies in Mexico.
Rosewood will feature 144 residences with a range of high-end amenities such as a beach club, an athletic center, a 5-star restaurant, and a wellness facility. Residents will also enjoy unrestricted access to a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.
That’s all from me for now.
