Your condo in Cabo Costa will have incredible appeal for renters. It’s in an idyllic location, where El Tezal mountain slopes toward the ocean. The views will be outstanding. From the infinity pool you can enjoy views of the Pacific or watch the desert bloom in late fall.
The amenities include a large ocean-view infinity pool, there’s a wet bar, a gym, a solarium, massage rooms and a co-working space.
My team found a two-bedroom condo in the nearby community of Solaria, which is listed for long-term rent at $2,300 per month. It’s not like-for-like but shows you where the market is for high-end condos in El Tezal.
Cabo Breaks Tourism Record Set in 2023
The general director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (Fiturca), Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares, revealed that Cabo will close 2024 with an estimated 100,000 more visitors compared to the 3.8 million received in 2023.
The number of visitors flying into Los Cabos has been increasing steadily each year, from 2.8 million in 2021 to 3.3 million in 2022 and a record 3.8 million in 2023…a 35.71% increase in just two years.
In most cases you would expect a cooling-off period after such a dramatic rise in visitors, so how did Cabo manage to post a small increase?
Tourism statistics show 40% of visitors in 2024 to Cabo were repeat visitors.
This is fantastic news for owners at Cabo Costa as repeat visitors will usually form the cornerstone of your rental base.
And Cabo continues to attract the right clientele for high-end condos, like yours in Cabo Costa.
And the average nightly rate for a hotel stay is $530, which represents a 10% increase over the previous year.
Things to Do in Cabo
Your Cabo Costa condo will provide both a way to generate incredible rental gains, and the perfect base for spending time in Cabo.
My team put together this list of some of the best things to do next time you’re in Cabo.
Discover Cabo’s Spectacular Hiking Scene
The diverse terrain around Cabo is a hiker’s paradise with rugged desert paths and dramatic coastal vistas. The winter months are the perfect time to hit the trails. The morning temperatures are cool, and the clear skies allow for some stunning views.
One of the most famous views is from the end of the iconic Mount Solmar Trail, which has a panoramic vista of Land’s End, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez.
If you’re looking for a more challenging route, the Sierra de la Laguna Biosphere Reserve has a network of trails through desert and mountain landscapes. This protected wilderness comes alive during winter months, as desert foxes and roadrunners emerge, while lizards bask on sun-warmed rocks.
Another great hike lies 45 minutes from town…the magical Fox Canyon, a desert oasis with freshwater pools and cascading waterfalls. Winter visitors might catch a glimpse of desert bighorn sheep taking their morning drink, while the canyon’s microclimate attracts a vibrant array of birdlife, from darting hummingbirds to colorful orioles and elegant white-winged doves.
Discover Cabo’s Vibrant Gallery Scene on the Cabo Art Walk
Art lovers flock to Cabo San Jose del Lucas’s Gallery District on Thursday evenings between November and June, where the Art Walk showcases the finest local and international talent. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., visitors get to experience the region’s thriving art scene.
The winter season is particularly festive. Galleries open their doors to welcome art enthusiasts with complimentary wine and appetizers. You can even meet local artists who often present their latest works in person.
The Art Walk is a great way to experience a different side of Cabo. There’s a lot to see, so take your time, peek into hidden courtyards, and don’t miss the smaller galleries tucked away on the side streets where you can find some of the most interesting works.
Experience World-Class Fishing in Cabo, Where the Pacific Meets the Sea of Cortez
Cabo has incredible fishing in December and January, when the cooling waters attract an abundance of prized catches. Anglers can target the hard-fighting wahoo, known for blistering runs and delicious meat. Striped marlin are particularly active in the winter season, making it prime time for billfish enthusiasts. While dorado (mahi-mahi) numbers decrease from their summer peak, they’re still frequently caught alongside yellowfin tuna, which can be found throughout the winter months. The cooler waters also bring schools of sierra mackerel closer to shore, offering excellent light tackle action.
You’ll be able to hire a boat from Cabo San Lucas Marina, where there are dozens of charter operations competing for your business. These range from luxury sport fishing yachts to smaller pangas. Premium operators provide full-day excursions with experienced crews, or you can book directly with local captains at the marina’s main dock. Those in the know say the best fishing happens during the early morning hours, which is why most charters leave before 7 a.m.
Enjoy a Tee Time in Paradise During Cabo Winter Golf Season
Cabo has world-class golf, and the winter months, with clear skies, and temperatures hovering around 75 F, create ideal playing conditions. There are over a dozen championship courses, designed by legendary names like Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, and Tiger Woods. The dramatic desert-meets-ocean landscape provides an unforgettable backdrop, with towering cacti, deep arroyos, and ocean views.
Venues like Quivira Golf Club and Cabo del Sol’s Ocean Course have stunning seaside holes where you can hear the waves crash against the rocky coastline. Advance booking is recommended, especially during the holiday period. Many courses offer twilight rates after 2 p.m., but the many people would say the best playing time is early morning when the air is crisp, and the winds are usually lighter.
As you can see, you won’t be stuck on things to see and do.
